Last Change To Review 2025-2029 ALTSD State Aging Plan

ALTSD News:

As New Mexico’s designated State Unit on Aging, the Aging and Long-Term Services Department (ALTSD) is committed to supporting older adults and people with disabilities across the state.

ALTSD consists of the Office of the Secretary and five core divisions that connect New Mexicans to essential resources:

  1. Administrative Services
  2. Consumer and Elder Rights
  3. Aging Network
  4. Adult Protective Services
  5. Long-Term Care

Our mission is to empower individuals to maintain their independence, health and dignity. Through a wide range of programs and services, we strive to ensure that every New Mexican can age with confidence and continue to thrive in their communities.

This commitment is reflected in in the 2025–2029 State Plan on Aging, a federally required document that outlines New Mexico’s goals, objectives and strategies for meeting the needs of older adults, adults with disabilities and family caregivers.

We are in the final days of public input, and we want to hear from you!
