LARSO Launches Brand New Website

LARSO News:

The Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization (LARSO), which operates both senior centers, announced today that after being down for several months it has launched a new website at www.LARSO.org.

“It’s a living document,” Executive Director Bernadette Lauritzen said. “The new format should certainly allow for updated information to be added more often and for news to get out fast.”

The centers just re-added their drive thru lunch option, as numbers for in-person dining remain painfully low. All lunches are served 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and those making reservations must indicate if they are dining in-person or utilizing the drive thru.

“We were struggling financially with low lunch numbers and have seen a change already,” Lauritzen said.

Special activities are in store for those members dining in-person for Frito Pie this Friday. While the staff is tight lipped about those events, rumor has it that free drawings for prizes are in the planning.

Remember, all reservations must be made by 10 a.m., and membership is free for those 60 and over, and only $20 annually for those 50-59.
