Los Alamos Public Schools would like to thank all the teachers, staff, organizations and volunteers who helped make the Show Up! It Matters! day of school a great success.

Thanks to everyone’s hard work, LAPS was able to welcome students around the district Wednesday, Feb. 14, and demonstrate how important it is to attend school.

Community partners helped greet students early Wednesday morning. Thank you to all the local organizations and volunteers that donated not only their time, but also goodies to hand out to the students. Thank you to Zia Credit Union for the volunteers and donation of 2,000 pencils, the Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation for donating gift cards and volunteers, the Los Alamos County Clerk, Leadership Los Alamos members, Los Alamos Rotary Club members, and all the Los Alamos police officers and Los Alamos firefighters who came out as well.
