The Los Alamos Public Schools Preschool program is hosting a Random Act of Kindness – Friendship Family Engagement Night for preschool students and their families.
Preschool staff are planning an evening program of fun activities focused on kindness and friendship, and opportunities for students to socialize with their peers. There also will be a read aloud time featuring the book, Fill A Bucket, by Carol McLoud and Katherine Martin.
The schedule is 4-6 p.m. in the PreK classroom at each elementary school:
- Aspen Elementary School – Thursday, Feb. 16;
- Barranca Elementary School – Friday, Feb. 17;
- Chamisa Elementary School – Friday, Feb. 17;
- Mountain Elementary School – Wednesday, Feb. 15; and
- Piñon Elementary School – Wednesday, Feb. 15.
Preschool and Kindergarten Registration for the 2023-2024 School Year LAPS will open registration for the 2023-2024 school year at 8 a.m., Monday, March 6.
Students who were part of the Preschool program as a four-year-old during the current school year who are enrolling in kindergarten for the 2023-2024 school year may enroll as returning students.
Families interested in the LAPS Preschool program for the 2023-2024 school year also may complete registration beginning March 6. Students 4 years of age prior to 12:01 a.m. MDT Sept. 1 of the school year they are enrolling in and reside in Los Alamos County are eligible to enroll in the LAPS Preschool Program.
