Los Alamos Public Schools Participates In Universal Free Breakfast And Lunch Program Today Through Dec. 31

LAPS News:

Chartwells and Los Alamos Public Schools are participating in the Universal Free Breakfast and Lunch program for any child 18 and under.

The program, which falls under the expansion of the USDA guidelines, runs today through Dec. 31, 2020.

The meals will be packaged together for one single distribution. Meals may be picked up curbside 11 a.m.  to 12:30 p.m.  Tuesday and Friday at Aspen Elementary and Piñon Elementary schools.

Tuesday meals include breakfast and lunch for Tuesday to Thursday, and Friday meals will cover breakfast and lunch for Friday to Monday.

National school lunch applications are not required for this program.

“This is a great opportunity to make sure our students have access to nutritious meals,” LAPS Superintendent Kurt Steinhaus said. “We are pleased that LAPS is able to be a part of this program.”
