LAPSF News:
 
Through many generous contributions, the Los Alamos Public Schools Foundation has been able to continue, and even grow, our grants program for the 2019-20 school year.
 
This fall, LAPSF is announced it has been able to support 38 grants so far. As a result of continuous donations from the community, LAPSF is having a huge impact on the quality of education in the local schools.
 
So far this fall LAPSF has given out nearly $20,000 for grants, which has impacted every school in the district:
  • Mini-grants (23);
  • Great Idea Grants (5);
  • Professional Development Grants (5); and
  • Book Group Grants (5).

Wellness Is The Name Of The Game
 
“Wellness” is an important word in schools these days. What it boils down to in Los Alamos is providing an environment in which students and school staff can thrive. LAPSF has teamed up with LAPS to increase student and staff wellness this year through three main initiatives:
  • $5,000 worth of wellness grants;
  • Community conversation/dinner for parents; and
  • Student summit or other activity by students, for students. Read more.
