LAPD’s Operation Spring Cleaning Nets Seven Arrests

Seven people were arrested this morning during Operation Spring Cleaning, a drug sweep by Los Alamos Police Department (LAPD), which began around 7 a.m. and was the result of some four months of work by the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.

Police Chief Dino Sgambellone confirmed that the operation was a success and there were no injuries while taking suspects into custody at several local residences.

A news release from Cmdr. Preston Ballew says personnel from New Mexico State Police, Department of Corrections, and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency assisted LAPD with manpower, drug-sniffing dogs, and helicopter support.

Ballew said investigators recovered methamphetamine, marijuana, cocaine, acid, mushrooms, prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and cash, and that future arrests are likely as the investigation continues.

Arrests include:

  • Nichole Marsh, 36, charged with one count of trafficking in a controlled substance and one count of possession of paraphernalia.
  • Nicholas Conner, 35, charged with four counts of trafficking in a controlled substance.
  • Amanda Osborne, 32, charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • Anthony Knief, 32, charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance.
  • Allan Houle, 29, charged with two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance.
  • Kathy Gibbons, 54, charged with one count of selling, disposing, possessing dangerous drugs – conditions for sale, one count of conspiracy to sell, dispose of, possess dangerous drugs –  conditions for sale, and one count of conspiracy to commit trafficking in a controlled Substance.
  • Byron Henderson, 49, charged with four counts of trafficking in a controlled substance, one count of selling, disposing, possessing dangerous drugs – conditions for sale, and one count of conspiracy to sell, dispose of, possess dangerous drugs – conditions for sale.
