LAPD News:
The Los Alamos Police Department’s (LAPD) Criminal Investigation Section is requesting the public’s assistance.
In recent weeks, there has been an increase in vandalism and graffiti to Los Alamos County parks, playgrounds, scenic overlooks and property. Equipment used by children, the environment, and the picturesque landscape enjoyed by Los Alamos residents and visitors alike have all been defaced and damaged.
An individual spray-painted messages on the cement at Ashley Pond, near the restrooms, and above local businesses. The individual committed this crime around 11:55 p.m. Thursday and 12:15 a.m. today, Aug. 12.
Information leading to identifying and arresting involved persons can result in a reward of up to $200. Reporting individuals may remain anonymous and can call L.A. Crime-Stoppers at 505.662.8282.
The Los Alamos Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Section asks the public to remain vigilant and to report suspicious persons or activity.
Finally, LAPD wishes to remind the public that patrols and surveillance are being increased in targeted areas.
