DP Road Shut Down Due to TA-21 HazMat Issue
DP Road is shut down at about noon today because of some type of hazmat issue at Technical Area 21.
Police are directing drivers away from the intersection of DP Road at Trinity Drive.
There is a report of a small brush fire at TA-21 and police and other emergency responders are on scene.

Early Los Alamos National Laboratory Video from the Hugh Bradner Collection
The Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) has recently released a new ten minute portion of physicist Hugh Bradner's amazing "peak-at-life" home movie clips from early Laboratory days, filmed from 1943 to 1945.
Bradner, a physicist at Los Alamos, was granted informal permission to use his video camera inside the New Mexico town that didn't official exist. Bradner took home movies of some of the top secret work being conducted at Los Alamos. The UNM- Los Alamos Small Business Development Center is hosting two community forums this week to provide LANL employees eligible for voluntary separation with information about opportunities and resources available to them.

Former New York Times Reporter to Talk on State of Nuclear Threats and Possibility of a Nuclear 9-11
Phillip Taubman
Former New York Times reporter Philip Taubman talks about the current state of nuclear threats, including Pakistan, North Korea, Iran, and the possibility of a nuclear 9-11 at a presentation beginning at 6 p.m. March 15 at Los National Laboratory’s Bradbury Science Museum.
Taubman also will talk about his newly published book, “The Partnership: Five Cold Warriors and Their Quest to Ban the Bomb.”
The talk is open to the public; seating is limited to 100.
Taubman is a former Moscow and Washington, D.C., bureau chief for the New York Times.

Los Alamos National Laboratory is hosting three Northern New Mexico community forums about the Lab’s voluntary workforce separation program now under way.
The public is invited to ask questions and get answers about Lab workforce action starting Monday, March 12.
Employees, spouses and the general public are welcome to attend.
