After operating his landscape and irrigation supply business in Santa Fe for 10 years, Carlos “Charly” Lopez decided to expand to Los Alamos.

Charly Landscaping and Irrigation Supplies opened for business May 18 at 110 East Gate, in the building formerly occupied by Hi-Tech.

“I’m excited to work here,” Lopez said.

He explained that he decided to expand his business because Charly Landscaping and Irrigation Supplies already had quite a few clients in Los Alamos. Now, with the store in Los Alamos, clients can receive products and services locally, Lopez said.

He said that before he opened his business, there weren’t any irrigation supply stores in town.

Charly Landscaping and Irrigation Supplies services include:

Landscaping
Flagstone
Stucco
Coyote fencing
Snow removal
Irrigation
Water Fountains

Lopez operates his business with his wife and his children.

“It’s exciting,” he said.

Lopez said they are building the landscaping and irrigation supply business for the future.
