A group of customers gathered over the last couple of weeks to test Los Alamos National Bank’s new mobile app that was launched this morning.
The intent of the new app is to allow customers to conveniently and securely access information and perform transactions on the go. Customers can check their account balance, transactions and pending payments, move money between LANB accounts, send money to an external account by using a service called People Pay and easily deposit a check by taking a quick photo of it.
“We are so glad to be able to provide our customers with this channel to conduct their banking services,” LANB President & CEO JohnGulas said. “The app will provide an added convenience for our customers so they can bank with their local bank anywhere they travel.”
LANB Manager, Patrick Browder, liaison to LANB CEO John Gulas, led the sessions April 5 and April 12 in a conference room at the local bank. He gave an overview of the app and provided a description of the various features. Senior Business Analyst Missy Stark is the mobile app project manager. She assisted customers in the test group through the process of downloading the new app onto their smart phones and navigating through the various options.
Participants in the test group filled out questionnaires and provided feedback on their experience with the app so that the project team could make applicable changes and provide the necessary communications for customers.
LANB is hosting a Customer Tutorial Session 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 18 in their second floor conference room at the main office in Los Alamos. The bank encourages customers and those interested in learning more about the app to stop by and view the tutorial.
In addition to the tutorial, all LANB locations will be setting up dedicated Mobile Banking Help Desks in their lobbies to assist anyone who has questions or would like guidance while downloading the app. The Help Desks will be available April 17h-21 and access to Wi-Fi will be provided during this time so that customers do not need to use their personal data plans while downloading the app.
