LAPS News:

Los Alamos Middle School recently sent three teams to compete in this year’s Regional Science Bowl held at Albuquerque Academy. All three teams made it into the afternoon double elimination rounds with Team A earning second place.

Team A members include Julia Neale, Chelsea Nguyen, Alex Hovey, Muhil Sasikumar and Kevin Zou.

Other students representing LAMS who competed this year include Emily Lueninghoener, Sylvia Stanek, Haley Bishofberger, Yuiko Yamaguchi, Isaac Light, Bodie Holmes, Evan Cunningham, Norah Whitton, Leia Lin, and Kit Randleman.

Students participating in the Science Bowl compete in a fast-paced question-and- answer format where they solve technical problems and answer questions on a range of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, Earth and space sciences, physics, and math.
