LAMS News:
Los Alamos Middle School (LAMS) PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is asking for help from the community for two upcoming events.
The first is LAMS PTO day at Papa Murphy’s Pizza. A portion of all sales Monday, Feb. 27 will be donated by our local Papa Murphy’s store to the PTO. You can place your order online at papamurphys.com or through the app. Place the order anytime during the day and set a convenient time to pick up. Advance orders will help Papa Murphy’s staff be able to focus on making pizzas.
The second event is Pi Day on Tuesday, March 14. This much-loved tradition is a math carnival for all middle school students. This year’s theme is Route 66. Students will spend a total of 40 minutes rotating through several activity stations. To pull this off for all 600+ middle schoolers, we need many, many volunteers. The PTO asks for community members to donate two hours of time on the 13th (to set up) or the 14th to help make this special event happen.
Visit the PTO’s webpage at lams-pto.org for more information about signing up.
The PTO also wants to thank two generous Pi Day sponsors: Los Alamos Schools Credit Union and Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos. Through their support, the PTO is able to purchase all of the supplies needed for the Pi Day adventure along Route 66.
