November is Native American Heritage Month and Los Alamos Middle School Native American Club – the Native Hawks – will be selling scented pencils and teal ribbons 3:30-5 p.m. at Smith’s Marketplace Thursday.

The pencils are $1 each and come in scents like rootbeer, cotton candy and bubblegum.

“Smith`s Marketplace has always and will continue to support the diversity of Northern New Mexico and our customers,” said Community Specialist Kathryn Fulton.

The Native Hawk logo was designed by Los Alamos High School student Zach Moquino when he was one of the inaugural Native Hawk Club members. The club is in its third year and raises funds to give back to its school community.
