LAMS Conducts Lockdown Safety Drill Today

LAMS News:

The New Mexico Public Education Department requires that every school in the state have a safety plan in place. The Los Alamos Middle School Safety Plan states that the LAMS staff and students will practice evacuation drills, shelter-in-place drills, and lockdown drills in conjunction with the Los Alamos Police Department. 

Today the Los Alamos Middle School and the Los Alamos Police Department practiced the plan for a lockdown drill. Los Alamos police officers participated in the drill to provide objective and valuable feedback.

The administration appreciates the police department’s expertise and knowledge in making Los Alamos Middle School a safer environment for students and staff.
