LAMS 2016 Book Fair Open To Entire Community Daily

LAMS News:

As the weather turns cooler at the end of the week, the Los Alamos Middle School library will have some hot deals to increase your love of reading and benefit their wonderful school programs at the same time.

The LAMS 2016 Book Fair is open to the entire community and runs 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily starting Friday, Nov. 18 through Wednesday, Nov. 30. A special Saturday sale to coincide with the annual Craft Fair is 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Nov. 19.

The Hawk PTO provides support to the middle school in a variety of ways including; providing funds for school projects, purchasing teaching materials and supplies, hosting teacher appreciation luncheons and even providing lunch items for those students in need.

“The books available will be the most popular titles for teens,” volunteer Noel Deller said. “The latest edition of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, the Last Descendants: Assassin’s Creed novel series, the surprise best-seller Took by Mary Downing Hahn, along with graphic novels, cookbooks, science and nature books, fan favorites such as Star Wars, and special holiday books and merchandise.”

The PTO has a 10 percent discount for volunteers and LAMS teachers and staff.

“We are working together with Ms. Nunez to make sure our middle schoolers have an enjoyable book fair experience,” Deller said.
