Los Alamos Medical Center (LAMC) welcomes Humberto D. Martinez, MD, Board-certified general surgeon, to LAMC and the community. Dr. Martinez is fluent in both English and Spanish, providing a diverse and inclusive care environment at Los Alamos Surgical Associates. He will begin seeing patients on June 2 in the clinic at Suite 250 inside LAMC at 3917 West Road.
Dr. Martinez is a highly experienced general surgeon affiliated with prestigious medical associations such as the American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, and Dallas Country Medical Society. He received his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine and completed his residency and fellowship training in surgical oncology at Dallas Methodist Medical Center and Roswell Park Memorial Institute in Buffalo, N.Y., respectively.
A native Texan, he is very familiar with caring for New Mexicans, having previously served in communities including Las Vegas, Shiprock and Las Cruces.
Dr. Martinez is welcoming new adult patients and specializes in:
- Gallbladder disease;
- Hernia repair;
- Appendectomy;
- Skin tumors;
- Vasectomies; and
- Hemorrhoids.
