Following the completion of an extensive RFP process, which vetted five emergency physician group providers, and with input from members of the Los Alamos Medical Center medical staff, LAMC announced today that they will be partnering with the EmCare Emergency Physicians Group to provide emergency medical care for patients beginning Thursday, Aug. 16.
EmCare is a part of Emergency Medical Services Corporation, the leading provider of emergency medical services in the United States.
EmCare will be following the HealthFront Emergency Physician Group.
After having given notice to LAMC in early April that they would not be renewing their contract as of Aug. 15, HealthFront Emergency Physician Group did participate in the RFP process, LAMC said in its news release this morning.
HealthFront Emergency Physician Group expressed displeasure and in response, LAMC extended thanks to HealthFront for its services to the medical center during its tenure and wished the group every success in its future endeavors.
EmCare is a leading provider of physician services for emergency departments, inpatient physician services, inpatient radiology management programs and anesthesiology services, LAMC said.
