LAMC News:
Continuing an annual community tradition, Los Alamos Medical Center (LAMC) welcomed more than 180 Los Alamos Public Schools kindergarteners to the hospital for its 2026 Teddy Bear Clinic on Thursday, April 30.
These young students left the experience with hospital familiarity, medical knowledge, lasting memories and an LAMC bag full of fun—including a miniature teddy bear and copy of The Bernstein Bears: Hospital Friends.
From start to finish, the clinic was filled with energy, curiosity, and smiles—helping kids feel more comfortable and confident about healthcare in a fun, approachable way.
This annual event would not be possible without LAMC’s “incredible department presenters, tour guides and other volunteers, plus support from a wonderful group of teachers and chaperones.”
Additionally, the hospital would like to thank its first responder partners for their special involvement and dedication to the community.
First responder partners:
- Classic Air Medical;
- Los Alamos County Fire Department; and
- Los Alamos County Police Department.
