LAMC CEO John Whiteside To Lead Hospital In Wyoming

LAMC CEO John Whiteside

Staff Report

John Whiteside will be leaving his position as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Los Alamos Medical Center (CEO) and transitioning to the role of CEO at SageWest Health Care, a LifePoint system in Wyoming, effective Dec. 6.

“John’s transition is a bittersweet one,” Western Division President Sandy Podley said. “While we are happy to keep him within the LifePoint family and welcome him to SageWest, we are sad to see him depart LAMC, where he has served since 2016. He has done an excellent job of leading this hospital, contributing richly to its culture, growth and overall success since assuming the CEO role. We are grateful for his leadership and service, and we wish him all the best as he moves to Wyoming and takes the reins at SageWest.”

A national search for Whiteside’s replacement is underway.

“Please know that our search for a new leader will be made with careful thought and attention, and we will share updates as they become available,” Podley said. “Please join me in thanking John for his outstanding leadership and wishing him all the best as he embarks on this new journey.”
