LAHS News:

Congratulations to Ian Jaegers who has signed a National Letter of Intent to swim for Valparaiso University in the Fall.

Ian Jaegers led the Topper swim team to its first State Championship Title in 15 years, is a five time LAHS varsity letter earner, swam club with the Aquatomics, and was named Northern New Mexico Male Swimmer of the Year in 2019.

Jaegers is excited to continue his swimming career at the college-level and very grateful to all the swim coaches and teammates who have supported him over the years.

“I have to thank all my LAHS boys teammates! They really helped push me to be better and faster. Their continuous support is what has inspired me to move on to the next level,” Jaegers said.

Located in northwestern Indiana, Valparaiso University’s Division 1 men’s team competes in the Summit League Conference and has earned multiple Scholar All-America honors.

Excelling equally in the classroom, Jaegers also is the recipient of Valparaiso’s Presidential Academic Scholarship. Jaegers will be majoring in engineering and is the son of Lisa and Peter Jaegers of White Rock.
