LAHS Senior Eric Burnside Achieves Eagle Scout Rank

Eric Burnside, a senior at Los Alamos High School and member of Troop 222, achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts of America. This accomplishment represents several years of hard work, fun, adventure and community service. During the process of satisfying the requirements for the Eagle rank, Burnside led a group of volunteers in building a trail near the Pajarito Environmental Education Center. He was able to draw from past experience in building trails with the Youth Conservation Corps. Burnside was presented the Eagle Scout award at a Court of Honor ceremony Sunday, May 1, at the LDS church. Courtesy photo
