LAHS Robotics Team Project Y Honored At Rotary Meeting

Rotary Club of Los Alamos President Alison Pannell, left, with members of the Los Alamos High School (LAHS) Robotics Team Project Y honored at the May 16 Rotary meeting. Team members include Amanda Kitrell, Sasha Vinyard, Evan Long and their mentor Steve Sintay. The team shared how their work expands STEM educational opportunities, talked about their successes at competitions including in Texas where they were the Texas District Championship winners of the Engineering Inspiration Award, an award which recognizes a team that has worked to further STEM in their community. Then they explained the construction process of these robots and the criteria each design must meet. Rotarians were excited to hear from this outstanding group of students. Courtesy/Rotary
