Saturday, Oct. 6 was a windy and surprisingly chilly morning. The town was unusually quiet as most people cuddled up inside.

And yet, within the parking lot at Los Alamos High School, you would have seen dozens of people happily milling about.

The fences were covered in clothes that danced in the wind. Tarps were laid out for toys and other treasures. Vendors were snuggled into their many layers of clothing as they discussed deals with patrons, old and young.

This was the happy sight at the annual Pegasus flea market. It was a joyful time, and the Pegasus staff send their sincerest thanks to all the people who showed up and supported our fundraiser. Our annual fundraiser helps support Los Alamos High School’s long-standing tradition (more than 50 years). The Pegasus magazine showcases a variety of literature (e.g., poetry, short stories, haikus, limericks) and art work created by Los Alamos High School students from ninth through twelfth grade.

For everyone who couldn’t make it to our fall fundraiser, the Pegasus staff encourages you to join in on our spring event. Not only can you find many great objects, but you will experience a great connection to the community of Los Alamos.

Again, thank you to everyone. Please check out the LAPS website (laschools.net) for details about our upcoming spring event.
