LAPS News:
Los Alamos High School (LAHS) is celebrating homecoming this week as they prepare to compete against Albuquerque Academy at the football game on Friday and “Unplug the Chargers!”.
Congratulations to the following students who were selected for this year’s homecoming court: Megan Brown, Lyas Eidenbenz, Cohen McKown, Nora Johnson, Angelina Passalacqua, Cadence Key, Luke Favorite, Denaee Chavez, Jackson Blair, Melaki Gutierrez, Jackson Boone and Emily McLaughlin.
The students on the newly selected homecoming court are continuing the tradition started in 2019 by giving back to an important cause. This year the court is encouraging members of the community to donate to LAPS Foundation, specifically to support the new teacher/mentor teacher program implemented by the school district and supported by the Foundation. Thanks to these exemplary students for showing support for new teachers to the district.
The homecoming court has set up a page to collect donations that will be used to support the new teacher/mentor teacher program at LAPS. To contribute to ‘Court for a Cause’, visit here.
For the last four LAHS homecomings the community has donated more than $6,000 in total to ‘Court for a Cause’. Let’s show some Hilltopper Pride again this year through giving that makes an impact!
