Anna Jacobson will be studying Political Science at the University of New Mexico. Anna is the daughter of Tony and Eva Jacobson. Her experiences with Los Alamos Teen Court and Mr. Frost’s Advanced Placement US Government and Politics class inspired Anna to want to become a lawyer. She will be joining UNM’s pre-law society. Her tip for incoming freshmen is to not worry too much. During her time at LAHS many times something felt like it was the end of the world and ended up not mattering in a matter of weeks. While at UNM Anna will continue playing bass in the orchestra, since music brings people together.
Libby Nolen will be attending the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. She has been accepted to the UNM Honors College. She is daughter of Blake and Jacqueline Nolen. At LAHS, she succeeded academically while being co-captain of the Swim Team and being president of the Senior Class. Her advice to incoming ninth graders is to just be themselves and to not walk in the middle of the hallways because they will get trampled. Libby’s passion has been to learn about the brain and to become a neuropsychologist. Most of all Libby wants to help others.
Estella Remillieux has been accepted to attend New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Estelle is the daughter of Elisha Georgiades and Marcel Remillieux. She kept up with her challenging coursework while working a full schedule at Mille French Café. She saved a large amount of her earnings for her future education. Her advice to new freshmen is to take advantage of the variety of courses offered at LAHS, make the most of you time in high school. Estella plans to start out majoring in Criminal Justice and is open to discovering new possibilities. She is proud of being independent.
