Los Alamos Fire Department Driver Engineer Michael Montoya retired today and his fellow firefighters honored him with a Last Ride ceremony at the Fire Station near the golf course. ‘A life dedicated to service – enjoy your retirement – while you are no longer called to duty, and will not see the flames rage. We thank you for your service, and are thankful you have aged.’ Montoya served more than 25 years in the Fire Service including time with the Española Fire Department.
