The LAYSL U10 Girls Competitive Team came in third place in their bracket at the Durango Shootout and ended with a 2-1-1 record with 25 goals scored over the weekend! The tournament capped off the Spring season of competitive soccer playing each weekend in the Duke City Soccer League in Albuquerque.
Tryouts to join the team (U11 9v9 in the Fall) are 5-6:30 p.m., May 15 at Western Area Field and 5-6:30 p.m. May 19 at the North Mesa Soccer Fields. Anyone born in 2015 or 2016 interested in and committed to playing on a traveling, competitive soccer team is encouraged to come to tryouts.
The U14 girls won the U15 Piedra bracket with a 3-0-1 record over the weekend. In a real team effort, nine girls contributed goals.
The LAFC U11/12 Lasers won the Piedra division with a record of 4-0-0, with a nail-biting OT win over NMSA SF in the finals, with the winning golden goal being scored by Mara Harvey. The Lasers had an overall goal total of 12 goals, scored by four girls.

The LAFC U11 Girls were all smiles after taking 3rd place in the top bracket of the Durango Shootout Soccer Tournament! The team also had a stellar regular season in the Duke City Soccer League (Albuquerque) where they played in the premier (top) bracket, finished as a top 5 ranked U11 team in the state of New Mexico, scored 3 hat tricks by 3 different players, had over 75% of the team score, and had multiple shutouts!
