Lady Hilltoppers Volley Ball Battles St. Mike’s

Lady Hilltopper Sophia Salazar spike kills a drive in the 3rd set. She had 11 kills for the night as St. Mike’s came out strong, winning the first set 25-12. In the second game Los Alamos stayed with St. Mike and lost steam. The 3rd game was the most exciting with both teams trading points and there were a couple of long rallies. Then in the 4th, the Hilltoppers had a hard time getting past their blocks and St. Mike’s was able to find the floor better than LA. For the Hilltoppers both Sophia Salazar and Natalie Gallegos had 11 kills in the night. Gallegos led with five block kills. Hilltopper Elodie Thelliez had four block kills. Kyla Sandoval had the most scored points off of serving with one ace and seven earned points and 14 digs. It was a tough night against a tough team.
