The Los Alamos Community Foundation(LACF) is hosting a free workshop on the basics of estate planning 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7 at UNM-LA (Student Services Building 2, Room 230).
Estate Planning Basics is presented by Shay Burns Kendricks, Estate Attorney with Miles & Kendricks LLC.
Topics include:
- Last will and testament;
- Revocable or living trust;
- Advanced health care directive;
- Durable power of attorney;
- Transfer on death deed; and
- Ways to include charitable giving in your estate plan.
This is a great opportunity to learn about the steps you can take to ensure that those you care for are protected and provided for while gaining some piece of mind for yourself. Time is reserved for Q&A.
This session is part of the LACF’s Community Philanthropy Series of programs designed to educate on the subject of philanthropy and encourage giving locally.
