Los Alamos Commerce and Development Corporation (LACDC) announced today the hiring of Ryn Herrmann as the director of Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce effective in January.
“We conducted an extensive nationwide search that resulted in over 30 applicants for the position” LACDC Executive Director Patrick Sullivan said. “Our finalist pool was very strong, but, ultimately we felt Ryn was the top choice. Her knowledge of the organization, the community, and her strong communication skills made a great choice. We’re excited to have her bring her enthusiasm and creativity to the Chamber”.
Herrmann has been with LACDC for more than three years and is the communications director and also serves as the creative district curator. She chairs the Los Alamos Lodger’s Tax Advisory Board and has served on that board for more than five years. She also is vice president of the Bradbury Science Museum Association, a 2016 graduate of Leadership Los Alamos and has been a Girl Scout Leader for 10 years.
She is originally from Spokane, Wash., and has an undergraduate degree in Marketing from Gonzaga University. Herrmann and her husband Hans have lived in Los Alamos for more than 20 years and have three children.
“I’m very happy to continue working with the business community of Los Alamos. I understand the unique challenges of living, working and running a business in Los Alamos and look forward to leading the Chamber,” Herrmann said.
