Staff Report

The Los Alamos Association of REALTORS® held an Affiliates Day Friday morning at the Holiday Inn Express.

The Los Alamos Association of REALTORS® (LAAOR) was established in 1977. Originally it consisted of 16 REALTORS®, has been as large as 100 members and today is 42 members. The organization is governed by an elected board of directors, comprised of eight of its members. LAAOR meets to discuss local REALTOR® issues.

The general membership meetings are held in order to disburse information, host speakers and local business professionals. Its primary objectives are to share information, provide education, and adhere to all national, state, and local REALTOR® ethics, rules, and regulations. The goal is to provide the public with the most informed, trustworthy and professional real estate services possible.

LAAOR’s mission is to enhance members’ ability to conduct their individual business successfully, ethically, with confidence, and professionalism. LAAOR participates in the Santa Fe Multiple Listing Service. Its customers and clients benefit from this cooperation because sellers’ listings receive more exposure and buyers are able to see more options. LAAOR is part of the REALTORS® Association of New Mexico and the National Association of REALTORS®.
