Today is ‘Kiwanis One Day’ in which Kiwanis organizations perform community service. The Kiwanis Club of Los Alamos is fulfilling that commitment and at the same time helping Los Alamos High School Key Club members complete their ‘Single Service Project’. The group is gathered this morning to fill recycled bottles at the Los Alamos Eco Station, which are then stacked into wire cages called ‘gabion baskets’ that aid in erosion prevention at the local landfill site.
