Kirtland AFB To Conduct Defensive Capabilities Exercises

KAFB News:

KIRTLAND AIR FORCE BASE — Kirtland will be participating in an exercise the week of Oct. 19-23.

Installation security personnel will be exercising different defensive capabilities throughout the week.

Gunfire and simulated explosions may be heard Oct. 21, while installation access will be truncated mid-morning Oct. 22.

People entering and exiting the installation should expect unfamiliar traffic patterns, restriction of access to parking lots and increased force protection measures that will continue into the morning of Oct. 23.
