Farmers Insurance Agent Kiersten Steck with daughter Ainsley, 9, son Ethan, 10, and husband Jered celebrate Friday afternoon the grand opening of her office at 1362a Trinity Dr., near Viola’s Restaurant. Steck said she officially took over the office July 1 following the death of her mother-in-law Kathy Steck who owned the business for many years and where Steck worked as a reserves agent. ‘I’m excited to be involved in the community,’ Steck said. ‘My biggest goal is to support the kids and support the community.’ One of the ways she said she would like to be active in Los Alamos is as a sponsor for local youth sports teams. Farmers Insurance offers all types of insurance including life, health, RV and motorcycle. Steck said customer service is very important to Farmers Insurance, which strives to provide the best service to its customers. Steck a U.S. Army veteran and her husband serves in the military.
