Los Alamos County Library System will be wrapping up the 2015 Summer Library Club during the grand opening of the new White Rock Branch Library.

“We can’t wait. It’s going to be two amazing parties in one. We’re especially excited because WiseFool Puppets is putting on a show for us,” Youth Services Coordinator Angie Manfredi said.

WiseFool Puppets, a Santa Fe group, will perform A Look Inside, their show about the inside working of puppetry as part of the celebrations Friday, July 31. It is a way to celebrate the opening of the branch and all the amazing fun had by the Summer Library Club participants over the past two months. The show begins at 1:30 p.m. at the new White Rock branch.

The fun doesn’t stop Friday – Youth Services has put together an entire week of special programming for White Rock.

“We didn’t get to have as many programs for White Rock as we usually do in the summer, so we wanted to make up for it and celebrate the new space in a fun way for everyone,” Manfredi said.

Youth Services has planned a week full of programs for all ages of kids at the new library. Community members from White Rock and Los Alamos are invited to participate.

“It’s going to be a blast,” Manfredi said. “We can’t wait to try out these programs in White Rock and see how the community reacts and we’re so glad to be programming in the new space so soon!”
