She serves a loyal clientele Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from her office at 127 East Gate Drive, Suite 212-D.
English is a trained medical aesthetician and worked for several Phoenix plastic surgeons before moving to Los Alamos.
“I help women stay beautiful,” English said. “I enjoy what I do because I help people feel good about themselves. Your face is the first thing people see.”
English provides microdermabrasion treatments to re-texture the skin.
“This procedure rejuvenates solar damage and makes acne scars less noticeable,” English said.
The treatment also reduces fine wrinkles and age spots, as well as softens and smoothes the skin, she said. English also does chemical peels
Facials are a popular service at Professional Skin Care Choices. Facials are a deep cleansing treatment. Part of the treatment is massage of the face, neck and shoulders.
English shared what she considers the two secrets to keeping skin healthy and young-looking – daily moisturizing and consistent use of a sun screen of at least SPF 30.
Because of the high altitude and dry climate, Los Alamos residents must be especially careful with their skin, English said.
English carries the Physician’s Care Alliance skin care line of products
“This is a medical grade product, which is sold in many dermatologists offices,” English said.
English also carries Jane Iredale makeup products.
“This makeup contains ingredients, which nourish and protect the skin,” English said. “These cosmetics rival any in the world.”
Make up application is another service offered at Professional Skin Care Choices.
In honor of the season, Professional Skin Care Choices is hosting a “Spring Forward” Makeup Event 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 17.
Guest makeup artist Jenna from Rock, Paper, Scissors in Santa Fe will not only apply makeup on participants, she’ll teach them how to do it as well.
Jan Iredale makeup will be featured. It’s free with a $20 purchase.
Door Prizes and Goody bags to be given away and refreshments will be served. Reservations are required and slots fill up quickly, English said.
