JR’s BB+ food truck experienced a theft overnight Monday at 35 Rover Blvd. in White Rock. Owner Larry Roybal told the Los Alamos Daily Post that the good news is the thief didn’t damage the truck but rather stole a cooler containing sodas adjacent to the truck. He said police are investigating a suspect spotted loitering around the area and who also is thought to be conducting grab and run thefts from area convenience stores. Roybal expressed his appreciation to the community for the overwhelming support he has received following Monday night’s incident. He especially thanks local resident Gary Perrault for his generosity in purchasing two new coolers for the food truck. ‘Thank you all for making this community what it is … I am proud to be a part of it,’ Roybal said.
