In keeping with tradition, the Family YMCA, in cooperation with other community organizations, will host this year’s Kids Parade. Get dressed in your finest red, white, and blue gear and join in the fun! Decorate your bikes and Fido, too!
This year the parade will be bigger and better than ever. At the end of the parade route, everyone will take a moment to honor our country with a patriotic flag raising ceremony and then the celebration will begin.
There will be music, bouncey houses, face painting, games, prizes and healthy snacks. Take a break from the heat and check out the Book Fair happening inside the YMCA.
Parade participants can begin gathering at 9:30 a.m. at the elephant statue at Ashley Pond. The parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. As always, the parade will go up Central Avenue and come to an end in the Family YMCA parking lot. If extreme weather conditions exist, the parade will be cancelled
