PAC 8 News:
PAC 8 is holding their annual Holiday Wine and Cheese – Silent Auction and Fundraiser at 7 p.m., Nov. 16 at historic Fuller Lodge in Los Alamos.
Do your Holiday shopping in one evening while you taste delicious wines and cheeses from around the world.
Original items such as sushi making lessons with sushi dinner, ski passes from Pajarito Mountain, a 12 lb. organic turkey from Los Alamos Coop, bagels and cream cheese for a year from Ruby K’s, artwork, jewelry, many gift certificates and much, much more will be available for bidding.
Live music will be by Rumelia – a Balkan/Folk/ World group comprised of three women from Santa Fe. Their music is derived from the traditional and popular tunes of Albania, Turkey, Greece, Macedonia and Bulgaria with some Gypsy music thrown in.
Dave Schiferl, PAC 8 Board President, will match one dollar for every dollar donated, up to $300 not including auction items or ticket sales from now until the fundraiser ends at 9 p.m., Nov. 16.
If PAC 8 receives $300 in donations by that time, Schiferl will donate an extra $200.
Please help support PAC 8 by attending this gala event. Proceeds go to help PAC 8 with their operating expenses and to scholarships for children for the PAC 8 summer video camp.
PAC 8 is a non-profit organization that has been in Los Alamos for more than 30 years. PAC 8 provides training to the public in editing, video and audio production.
They record the County Council Meetings, school board meetings, and other events in the community. They provide services such as video transfer, digitizing slides and photos, web encoding, 8 and 16 mm film transfer.
PAC 8 cablecasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a wide range of programs. PAC 8 produces advertisements and public service announcements that air in the local movie theater.
