JJAB News:

Los Alamos JJAB is thrilled to announce the kickoff of its annual school supply drive, a vital initiative dedicated to helping LAPS students prepare for a successful school year.

This year, we are reaching out to our community for financial donations to ensure that every child has the essential supplies they need to excel in their education.

JJAB is committed to easing this burden by collecting funds to purchase essential school supplies, including backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, and other necessary items. “Every child deserves the opportunity to succeed, and that begins with having the right tools,” emphasized Rachel Mohr-Richards, Executive Director of JJAB. “By banding together as a community, we can provide students with the confidence and support they need to flourish in the classroom.” We invite everyone to contribute, no matter the amount.

JJAB has organized this annual project since 2017, with 50 individual LAPS students provided supplies last year. Additionally, various school counselors were provided with items to assist students who arrived without supplies.

The school supply drive will continue until July 25, 2025, providing a window for families and organizations to make a significant impact on the lives of our students.
