Jingle Bell Rock ‘N Run 5K Sunday

LAHS News:

The Los Alamos High School Band is hosting the Jingle Bell Rock ‘N Run this Sunday, Dec. 13 to raise money for their upcoming trip to Washington, D.C.

The fun run includes the choice of a 5K or 1 mile run and is modeled after the popular Rock and Roll marathons featuring live music along the routes. Students from Los Alamos High School and Los Alamos Middle School will play holiday tunes for the runners.

Costs are $30 for the 5K and $10 for the mile. The mile starts at 2 p.m. and the 5K at 2:30 pm. Both runs start and finish at the Los Alamos Middle School. The first 100 registered for the 5K will receive a running beanie and prizes will be awarded for the top three male and female finishers. Ribbons will be given to those who complete the mile.

The Los Alamos High School ‘Topper Marching Band was nominated by Gov. Susana Martinez’ office to play in the National Independence Day Parade in Washington, D.C. on July 4, 2016. Proceeds from the race will offset costs to send nearly 100 students to the Nation’s Capital to represent the state of New Mexico. Direct questions to Alison at ajbcbb@aol.com.
