Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce Celebrates Grand Opening of New Studio Location of Jessica Booton Photography with a Ribbon Cutting and Dance Portrait Contest
The Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the new studio location of local photographer Jessica Booton with a ribbon cutting 1-3 p.m. today, Feb. 29. The actual ribbon cutting is 2 p.m., a dance contest is 3:30-4:45 p.m. and refreshments will be served.
Jessica Booton Photography, LLC, is a portrait studio at 1615 Central Ave. Suite 212 & 206, next to Metzger’s and above Exit Realty. As a family-friendly full-service portrait studio, Booton offers newborn, family, high school senior and personal branding portrait sessions.
Owner Jessica Booton started her portrait company in January 2015. In the beginning, she operated from her home and in 2017 opened her first studio. She has now moved to a larger, more convenient location. Her vision is that every family has a beautiful experience and that all kids feel welcome and excited to come into the studio.
Booton is a certified professional photographer and attends yearly conferences to hone her craft and stay knowledgeable of current photography trends. She serves on the Board of Directors for Professional Photographers of New Mexico and is a member of Professional Photographers of America.
To celebrate the new location, Booton is hosting a dance portrait contest with the winning family receiving a $500 gift certificate.
Things to know to enter:
- The contest is open to all ages.
- Parents must sign a model release. One portrait from each entrant will be on a voting website for the members of the Los Alamos community to vote on.
- Each entrant have a 5 minute time slot and must come with music ready to pair to a blue tooth speaker.
- Music must be clean. This is a family event so please be respectful.
- Portraits will be available for purchase after.
- Portraits will be posted on an online voting site and the link will be shared with the public. The portrait with the most votes wins a $500 gift certificate to be used towards a family session.
- The portrait chosen is at the discretion of Jessica Booton Photography, LLC.
