POLITICAL News:
Candidate Sharon Stover has announced a kick-off celebration will be held 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 10 at Pasta Paradiso, 1315 Trinity Dr.
This event marks the formal launch of Stover’s campaign to represent District 43 in the New Mexico Legislature.
“I am excited to have this opportunity to run for election to the New Mexico House of Representatives,” Stover said. “I invite my friends and neighbors to join me at this fun event to celebrate the start of my campaign.”
Stover, the current Los Alamos County Clerk, is the presiding president of the New Mexico Association of Counties (NMAC). Earlier this week, she completed a tour of New Mexico during which she met with county commissioners in each of the state’s 33 counties. Stover was the first NMAC president to formally meet with each county commission while in office.
“I gained valuable knowledge by traveling around the state and listening to the concerns of officials and citizens,” Stover said. “I want to bring this knowledge and insight to the New Mexico Legislature and make our state an even better place to live.”
The kick-off event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. and the program will begin at 5:30 p.m.
“I appreciate Renee Lee, owner of Pasta Paradiso, for letting us use her space and giving the community a sneak peek of her new restaurant,” Stover said.
