The Commanding Officer, HMS Implacable, the Local chapter of the Royal Manticoran Navy: The Official Honor Harrington Fan Association, takes pleasure in presenting this Letter of Commendation to: The residents of the County of Los Alamos, New Mexico for their outstanding and enduring support provided to members of the HMS Implacable crew during the 2025 Doreen M. Gunkel Memorial Toys for Tots Campaign between the dates of Oct. 4 and Dec. 9, 2025.

During operation Toys for Tots 2025, a total of 2,886 toys were collected, with a total value in toys and monetary donations made to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve totaling $29,622.25.

There were 27 active collection drives held by HMS Implacable at Smith’s Marketplace throughout this operation, and there were remote drop boxes located at the following businesses who supported the drive:

American Legion Post 90, Anytime Fitness, Christus St. Vincent Sports Medicine, Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Los Alamos Co-Op Market, Mesa Top Gaming, Metzger’s Hardware, Muy Salsas Restaurant, Papa Murphy’s, Ruby K’s Bagel Cafe, Smoke Vibez, Starbucks, Village Arts, VFW Post 8874, White Rock Gaming, and the Wolf and Mermaid Enchanted Café.

The season concluded with the Holiday Lights parade, and HMS Implacable’s “Fill the Float” entry. This year, the residents of Los Alamos contributed 221 toys with a cash value of $1,698.14 during the parade, making this our most successful year yet!

The residents of Los Alamos were vital to making this year’s Toys for Tots collection drive a
resounding success. The officers and crew of HMS Implacable wish to thank each of you for your generosity, and we look forward to working with you again next year.
