The Los Alamos High School Hilltoppers hosted Moriarty Wednesday at Hope Field in what developed into an incredibly close matchup.

Both teams battled back-and-forth for the lead and at the end of the 6th inning the game was tied 4-4. Moriarty was able to rack up 3 runs in the top of the 7th and the Toppers answered with only 2 runs. The final score was Moriarty 7 to Hilltoppers 6.

The Hilltoppers will host the Pojoaque Elkettes 10 a.m. and noon Saturday morning for a double header. Both games will be broadcast on the Los Alamos Daily Post YouTube channel.
