SALA Los Alamos Event Center has announced its schedule of events for the week of May 12- May 18, featuring a diverse lineup of movies, workshops, community gatherings, and member-exclusive screenings. The venue continues to serve as a dynamic hub for entertainment, education, and enrichment in the heart of Los Alamos.

LAFC Monthly Movie & Dinner
As part of an ongoing monthly series, SALA will present The Breakfast Club, with dinner available through select ticket options.

    Proceeds support the Los Alamos Family Council.

Home Buyers 101 Workshop
Led by local expert Becca, this session is designed for first-time buyers, newcomers to the area, or anyone needing a refresher on the home buying process. Attendees will gain practical tips and confidence in a no-pressure environment.

The Ostional Project: Sea Turtles & Community Conservation
Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating Costa Rica’s groundbreaking sea turtle conservation efforts and how a small community is making a global impact.

Hear personal stories from conservation leaders, view stunning footage of sea turtles, and learn about the globally renowned arribada nesting event. The evening also launches a fundraising campaign to support tagging, hatcheries, volunteer training, and education initiatives.

    A $10 donation is suggested, with proceeds supporting local senior centers.

Studio Ghibli Film Festival: Kiki’s Delivery Service
SALA kicks off its Studio Ghibli Film Festival with this celebrated film about a young witch finding her place in a new community. Tickets are available online.
