Gubernatorial Candidate Deb Haaland Leads In Polls

Gubernatorial candidate Deb Haaland

From the campaign of Deb Haaland:

ALBUQEURQUE — In two public polls released over the last week, Deb Haaland continues to hold a strong lead in the Democratic primary.

Data from the Albuquerque Journal and KRQE/Emerson College agrees, Haaland is poised to secure the nomination by double digits. According to the Journal poll, she is leading across demographic groups and with Independent voters. Meanwhile, Haaland’s opponent fails to gain ground despite campaigning for over a year and spending millions on advertising.

“Deb Haaland heads into the final five weeks with undeniable momentum—polling with a consistent double-digit lead and 5-1 cash advantage from small donors. This poll reflects a stark contrast: Sam is focused on using his MAGA donors to fund false and debunked attacks while Deb continues to share her vision to lower costs, help our kids read earlier, fix our broken healthcare system, and fight the Trump administration when it hurts New Mexicans. Sam is focused on attacking Deb. Deb is focused on helping New Mexicans,” Campaign Manager Dylan McArthur said.

Haaland has the most legislative and executive experience in this race. In Congress, Donald Trump signed five of her bills into law and as Secretary of the Interior, she oversaw an $18 billion budget and more than 70,000 employees.

Haaland has traveled to all 33 counties in New Mexico to meet with voters and hear their priorities for New Mexico. Her policy plans reflect those conversations and she is committed to lowering costs, providing a quality public  education, strengthening public safety, expanding access to healthcare, and standing up to Donald Trump
