Editor’s note: This article is the second in a series written by Executive Director Jacci Gruninger to introduce Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization and our services to the community.
Last week I shared about the many services the Los Alamos Senior Activity Centers provide. This week I’d like to invite you to lunch!
Did you know you don’t have to be a member to join us for lunch? We offer delicious, nutritious meals daily for only $10. And if you are a 60-year-young member it is FREE (a $5 donation is always welcome)! There are no long lines and every day we have a different option. Some of our favorites include green chili cheeseburgers, green chile chicken enchiladas, frito pie, chicken tikka masala, and so much more. We also provide vegetarian options for many of our meals.
At both our Los Alamos and White Rock centers there’s something to please every palate. We offer a daily salad bar along with our main dishes. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty meal or a refreshing plate of greens, we have something for everyone.
We are excited to invite the entire community to join us for our mouthwatering community lunches, served from noon to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Our lunches are open to everyone, so grab your friends, family, and colleagues to join us for a delightful midday break. For non-members, the cost is just $10 for a satisfying and delicious meal. And, you might just see someone you know or meet a new friend.
In addition, if you or a loved one are homebound due to a medical situation, injury, or other reason, we can deliver your meal to your home. Just contact our Case Manager, Stacy Frers at 505.551.4073 for more information.
