Amanda Mía Chávez García is a 2007 graduate of Los Alamos High School. After high school she attended Northern New Mexico College and completed her Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Studies with an emphasis in Psychology in May 2015.

After completion of her undergraduate degree, García applied and was accepted into the University of Southern California where she pursued her Master’s in Social Work. She has successfully completed her Master’s and is now an alumni to one of the top social work schools in the country. Her concentration is in Mental Health with a sub-concentration in Military social work.

Garcia has always had a passion for helping others and working in the communities she has known as home.

“Amanda, we are so proud of you! You have taught us that the sky’s the limit with persistence, perseverance as well as faith. Go on to live your dreams and know that no one will ever be able to take your education from you. Remember to stop along the way and thank God for everything in your life.
